  1. Thoughts
Its Great Having the salmon in the classroom. There are 200 salmon eggs but one died. There are now 199 in the tank.Three of them look like they're almost dead. The tank has to be as close to 47% as possible. The salmon tank right now is at 48% for the old style thermometer and 46% for the digital thermometer. the water is still clean. If we don’t take out the dead eggs they will start forming bacteria.

  2. We have been watching our little eggs and keeping them safe by testing the water. It is cool to see the eggs roll around the tank with the circulating water. The eggs eye and veins is one thing that we see when ever we watch them.

  3. We have over 200 salmon eggs in our tank. 2 of our salmon eggs have died. The temperature has to be 45-50 degrees fahrenheit at all times. It is safe to check the salmon three times a day or the eggs will turn white and die and if you don't take the white egg out when it dies it will cause bacteria in the tank and the other eggs will die.

  4. Our eggs are like little pink bouncy balls that get moved around by the currents of the tank.Right now they have two eyes and you can see little veins in the eggs. We have to check on them daily. So far only two eggs have died.
You can tell this when the eggs turn creamy white and hard.

  5. It is a lot of work to take care of the salmon eggs. We have about 200 eggs. 2 have died and we are looking out for 2 of them.If an egg is white and creamy than it is dead and has to be taken out or it will create bacteria in the tank. Our class has to check the temperature of the tank and make sure the water is clear and is below 50* fahrenheit so the salmon can stay healthy. We have been researching and reading books about the salmon. The room that the salmon are in must be dark and quiet. The salmon eggs are a month old then they grow eyes and when they start to hatch they swirl around in the egg sack
